TradeTrack — Privacy Policy

TradeTrack ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal crypto trading journal and analytics app. This page explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who can access it, and the rights and choices you have. TradeTrack does not sell your data and does not show ads.

Who is responsible for your data

TradeTrack is developed and operated by BytenestStudio, based in Slovenia, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at bytenest.apps@proton.me.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use TradeTrack, we collect:

• Account information — your email address, used to sign you in via Firebase Authentication. Your password is handled by Firebase and is never visible to us.
• Trade data you enter — for each trade: symbol, side (long/short), market type (spot/futures), entry date, each full or partial exit (its date, realized profit/loss and close reason), strategy, tags, notes, and the optional mood rating you give the trade.
• App preferences — theme, base currency, portfolio size, and the strategies, tags and close reasons you define, so they sync across your devices.
• Subscription status — when your free trial started, whether you have an active TradeTrack Pro subscription or lifetime purchase, and which store (Google Play, or a promotional grant) it's tied to. Purchases are processed by Google Play; TradeTrack never sees your payment details (card number, etc.).
• Feedback you send — if you use Settings → Community → Suggest an idea / report a bug, we store your message, its category, the platform you sent it from, and your email address and account ID so we can reply.
• Usage and diagnostics — Firebase Analytics records a small set of events (sign-up, trial started, paywall shown, purchase completed) and which screens are opened, together with device/OS information, an app-instance identifier and your approximate country. On Android and iOS, Firebase Crashlytics sends crash reports with technical details about the error and your device. None of this includes your trades, profit/loss figures, strategies, notes or mood ratings.

How we use this information, and why

• To provide the app — create and secure your account, store and sync your trades and settings across devices and browsers, calculate the analytics shown in the app, and unlock TradeTrack Pro after a valid purchase. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To answer you — respond to feedback, questions and bug reports you send us. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in supporting users (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
• To keep the app working and improve it — understand, in aggregate, how the app is used and fix crashes. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a stable, improving app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object at any time by contacting us.

All analytics you see in the app (P&L, win rate, strategy and mood statistics, etc.) are calculated on your own device from your data.

Who can see your data

• Other users cannot. Access rules in our database only let a signed-in user read and write their own data.
• The developer has technical access. As operator of the service, we can technically view data stored in the database. We access your data only when it's necessary to maintain and secure the service, to investigate a problem, or when you ask us for help — and never to copy, use or share your trading strategies, ideas or results.
• Service providers listed below process data on our behalf, only as needed for their part of the app and under data-processing agreements.

Third-party services we use

• Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google) — sign-in, and cloud storage for your account, trades, settings and feedback messages.
• Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — the usage events and crash reports described above (Crashlytics on Android/iOS only). See Firebase's privacy information.
• RevenueCat — manages TradeTrack Pro subscriptions and purchase status, using your account ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases and subscriptions on Android. See Google's privacy policy.

We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your personal data with data brokers or advertisers.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure provider, database access is restricted per account as described above, and administrative access to the service is limited and protected with two-factor authentication.

CSV import/export

If you import or export your trades as a CSV file, that file is created and read directly on your device (or shared by you through your device's normal share sheet) — TradeTrack doesn't upload these files to any server beyond the same Firestore sync described above.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. In the TradeTrack app:

• To delete just your trades (and keep your account and settings), go to Settings → Data → Delete all trades.
• To delete your entire account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, all trades, and all settings from our database. It cannot be undone.

Some related data is handled separately:

• Feedback messages you've sent are kept until we've dealt with them; email us and we'll delete them.
• Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and Google Play as required for billing, tax and legal purposes.
• Usage and crash data is kept for a limited period under Firebase's retention settings and is not linked to your trade data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected (you can edit your trades and settings in the app at any time);
• have your data deleted (see above) or its processing restricted;
• data portability — you can export your trades as CSV from Settings;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests, such as analytics.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), or the authority in your own EU country.

Children's privacy

TradeTrack is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know in the app.
